I started my apprenticeship at a small bespoke dressmakers in Bold Street Liverpool in 1966 and I worked their for 2 and a half years. This experience set the foundation for the beginning of my career in the fashion industry. My next job was at a small factory work room making wedding gowns were I was taught to cut and block patterns.
I then took a position in a company that specialised in bridal dress hire were I worked for 2 years until I eventually left to find a new challenge.
At the age of 22 I took charge of a bridal shop work room in Lime Street Liverpool were I worked for a further 3 years until I left to bring up a family. I spent the following years working from home till 2002, since then I have worked for a couple of bridal shops altering and restyling wedding dresses.
